OSHA Officially Makes GHS Part of the Hazard Communication Standard
You can be one the first people to understand the new Hazard Communication Standard the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) has conformed to align with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS). OSHA just published the final rule yesterday, on March 26. You can access training to address this new system in wide-screen HD Video On Demand format at Mastery.com, Hazard Communication & The Global Harmonizing System.
This training explains exactly what GHS is and what changes need to be made in old hazard communication plans. The international system was created to help to ensure safety and consistency. GHS allows chemical information to be located and understood quickly. The training demonstrates how workers should utilize the three major components of GHS; hazard classification, container labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
