Three quarters of workplace assaults occur in healthcare settings. Healthcare facilities, such as hospitals, nursing homes, urgent care clinics, and doctors’ offices, can be more prone to violence due to impatient family members or unruly or unstable patients. Besides the obvious effects, violence in the workplace decreases productivity and takes a mental toll on healthcare employees.
In this course, healthcare workers are taught the importance of their participation in preventing and controlling violence. One way in which violence can be prevented is an OSHA-recommended violence prevention program for the facility. Another method shown in this training is the importance of employee education and training. Included in this training are methods for responding to violence.
After taking this training, your workers will understand how violence hurts both employees and their employer. Use this training course to teach awareness of violence in the workplace and the methods to prevent and control violent situations.
