Course Overview

While there are thousands of different levels and types of industrial jobs, they all share one element; they place physical demands on the people who perform them. These demands can eventually cause severe to disabling ergonomic injuries, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, tendinitis and chronic lower back pain. Beginning with an overview of how ergonomics helps workers avoid harmful physical stresses, this course shows industrial workers how to recognize and avoid the ergonomic hazards they encounter on the job that lead to injuries. By explaining the nature and causes of ergonomic injuries to the hand and wrist, arm and shoulder, and neck and back, this course teaches students proper practices for ergonomic safety as it applies to their job duties. Use this course to assure every industrial employee goes home each day pain-free.
