Course Overview
While uncomfortable to think about, surviving a retail location active shooter event requires training that enables all retail employees to act effectively and quickly, despite being under intense stress. This course gives them the advance planning training they need.
Upon learning the specifics regarding the distinctions between retail workplace active shootings and other locations such as churches or offices, employees learn active shooter profiles and how and where to watch for potential warning signs in customers, former employees, co-workers, or even co-workers’ family members. This course then guides learners through the process of planning for and reacting and responding to an active shooter event – from the first second the incident begins through the moment when first responders arrive on the scene.
Use this course to help retail employees engage in active shooter event planning and learn how to protect themselves, and possibly their co-workers and customers if a retail workplace active shooting event should occur.
