Course Overview
Many jobs require employees to work several feet above the ground. Whether performing utility work, building maintenance, sign installation, or repairs, bucket trucks make it possible to safely reach elevated work areas. However, when bucket trucks are not used correctly, workers can be exposed to serious hazards.
This online training course teaches employees how to safely operate and work around bucket trucks while recognizing and avoiding common hazards. Learners gain an understanding of the different types of bucket trucks and how they are used in various work environments. The course also covers the most common bucket truck incidents, including falls, rollovers, and electrocution, and explains the safe work practices that help prevent them. Employees learn how to perform pre-operation inspections, evaluate worksite conditions, identify potential hazards, and effectively use personal protective equipment (PPE).
By the end of the course, employees will have a better understanding of how to safely use bucket trucks, recognize workplace hazards, and protect themselves and their coworkers while working at elevation.
