Course Overview

It’s universally accepted that alcohol, drugs, and driving don’t mix. Yet, driving under the influence is a major cause of accidents that result in injuries and deaths. This course shows how “Reasonable Suspicion” testing helps ensure commercial vehicle drivers, mechanics, and warehouse workers stay drug and alcohol free. Designed to show how managers and supervisors of commercial drivers and those in safety-sensitive jobs can implement the Reasonable Suspicion Act for optimal effectiveness, this two-part course presents all aspects, implications, and applications of “Reasonable Suspicion.” Upon showing what is meant by “reasonable” suspicion, this course teaches employers how to recognize the signs of substance use disorder, and the physical and behavioral signs of drug use. Present this course, part one of two, so all managers and supervisors understand the concept of Reasonable Suspicion Testing and how, when, and why to use it effectively.
