Course Overview
Workplace electrical hazards and accidents cause thousands of injures and hundreds of fatalities per year. From burns to fires to explosions, many of these electrical accidents can be avoided through an awareness of how to identify and prevent electrical hazards throughout the facility. This course provides a clear overview of the basics of electricity by showing how electricity works and how electrical hazards and accidents occur. Beginning with an explanation of the fundamentals, including current, watts, amperes (amps) and volts, this course highlights the dangers of electricity, while showing employees how to recognize and prevent these dangers from causing property damage, personal injuries, or even deaths in the workplace.
