Course Overview
Hazard communication failures remain a major risk on construction sites, with OSHA consistently citing it as one of the most frequently violated standards and thousands of chemical related injuries reported each year (OSHA; Bureau of Labor Statistics).
This course breaks down how GHS container labels function as a safety tool in the field, covering the goals of hazard communication, the benefits of the GHS system, pictograms, and required text elements. Workers will learn how to read labels quickly, understand the risks, and apply that knowledge before exposure happens.
To keep everyone on a jobsite safe, all workers who handle hazardous materials need to be able to get information about them quickly and easily. The focus of this course is practical: reduce confusion, prevent incidents, and make safer decisions on active job sites.
