Course Overview
Every employee at every level of the organization is involved in work processes that impact the customer, even if the customer is just another employee or team. To most efficiently provide the product or service each work process produces, every employee, team and department needs to understand Lean concepts. This course begins by showing learners what Lean looks like and how to identify their customers, then proceeds with a clear and meaningful overview of the fundamentals of the Toyota Production System, from which Lean concepts were derived. Once employees understand who their process customers are and how their activities meet or fall short of their customers’ expectations, they learn how and why to use the Lean tools provided in this course to analyze which steps and actions add value and which ones should be eliminated or modified for better efficiency. Use this course to show employees how to increase quality and value in their work processes while preventing mistakes, delays and waste.
