Course Overview
This training video teaches learners why we need to face racism, and how to show respect for racial and ethnic differences. Viewers learn the importance of using respectful language, and of correcting mistakes when interacting with people of a different race or ethnicity. This course also explains how discrimination in the workplace is illegal and must not be tolerated. For example, employers cannot discriminate against employees because of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Discrimination and harassment can be avoided by showing respect for all. This course also teaches ways employees can intervene if they see or hear about someone being harassed or discriminated against. These include the following: stand up for their colleague; believe the story of the person who was harassed; and show respect. Creating a culture of respect in the workplace helps everyone work better together. Take this training course to learn how to help build a culture of respect in the workplace.
