Course Overview
Slip, trip, and fall hazards are prevalent in all workplaces, including healthcare facilities. Accounting for 17% of all disabling occupational injuries and 15% of job fatalities, slips, trips, and falls can be avoided once employees learn preventative basics.
By showing employees the vital role one’s center of gravity plays in how they move, this course gives learners the foundation they need for learning how to maintain their balance in all work-related activities. Building upon this foundation, the subsequent topics provide examples of slip, trip and fall hazards, demonstrate best practices for housekeeping and maintenance, explore the role of footwear, and shows employees how to fall properly.
Present this course so all healthcare employees know how to reduce or eliminate slip, trip, and fall hazards and injuries so they can go home every day safe and injury-free.
