Course Overview
Slips, trips, and falls are the cause of most workplace accidents. Since most of these accidents can be prevented, it is critical all workers learn how to recognize walking and walking surface hazards and safely move throughout the workplace. All employees depend on floors for support and to keep their balance; many also rely upon platforms, scaffolds, stairways, and ladders for the same reasons as they perform their job duties. However, because workplace accidents and injuries are so prevalent, and mostly preventable, OSHA has developed regulations specifically for walking and working on surfaces. In clear detail, this course addresses these regulations while also teaching employees about the roles “good housekeeping” and “guarding” play in preventing slips, trips, and falls. Use this course to teach your staff how to prevent slips, trips, and falls so they come home safe from work every day.
