Keep Ideas Moving for Your Social Media Content

In today’s fast paced market, and abundance of competitors, in order to stand-out above the rest, unique qualities and attributes must be easily noticed by your audience.  Thankfully, with the multitude of social media networks out there, reaching your audience is easier than ever before (which can be a bad thing if you’re not mindful of what you’re posting, but that’s a whole other topic).  Mastery is a workplace training organization, in order for us to promote discussion, traffic on our websites, and  interaction with our clients, content partners, investors, employees, etc…, we have started focusing in on our social media outlets; Facebook, Twitter and our blog.
Having a plan of attack for these social media outlets is vital for success; there comes a point when you get burnt out of ideas to keep traffic moving across these sites as well as ongoing interesting content.  Gini Dietrich, lead blogger for, Spin Sucks, supplies an article for when these burn-out feelings hit you.  In her article, “Increase Blog Traffic with These 12 Ideas,” Dietrich supplies us with tips for what to do when what you’re used to doing stops working:

  1. Create a video series
  2. Write case studies
  3. Write more guest posts
  4. Write longer form content
  5. Start an affiliate program
  6. Network with new groups
  7. Use owned images for content
  8. Participate in Q&A sites
  9. Test pop-ups
  10. Survey our readers
  11. Create a podcast series
  12. Host an event

Though each of these ideas may not fit at your organization, thinking outside the box will help cultivate strategies and schemes for your social media campaigns.  How do you avoid these ruts at your organization?
Another thing to keep in mind when it comes to social media, is the kind of conversations it opens up between you and your customers. Explore how you can improve customer service to improve your reputation on the internet with our new course, Customer Service Gone Viral.
