Course Overview
Industrial Hygiene is the science of protecting and enhancing the health and safety of people at work and in their communities. This course teaches how the science of Industrial Hygiene deals with chemical hazards, and the four other types of hazards that threaten the health, safety, and comfort of all workers. This course spotlights the five types of hazards an Industrial Hygienist recognizes, anticipates, and evaluates: physical hazards, chemical hazards, ergonomic hazards, biological hazards, and air contaminants. Upon learning how these hazards are analyzed and measured, learners gain a thorough understanding of their sources and methods for controlling or eliminating them.
